PALADEX pipes

Abrasion resistance

The polyethylene inner surface resists abrasion better than concrete, GRP, vitrified clay and PVC: PALADEX pipes also perform on steep gradients, with flow velocities up to 10 m/s.

The Darmstadt method

The diagram shows the average abrasion values of pipes in different materials, measured using the Darmstadt University procedure. Polyethylene pipes show greater resistance than pipes in concrete, even with epoxy coating, GRP, vitrified clay and PVC.

For this reason PALADEX pipelines are also used on steep sections without significant signs of wear on the inner surface.
